I’d rather we paid them! UK NHS nurses get paid less now than 10 years ago, but Boris thinks clapping will make up the difference?
Let’s not forget that the Rt Hon Boris Johnson voted AGAINST giving nurses a fair and proper pay rise in 2017, and even cheered disrespectfully when the vote was announced! And now he thinks that clapping them once a week will jolly them along?
Clapping isn’t even for the nurses, it’s to show your neighbors how good and virtuous you are. If everyone that clapped donated one pound to the nurses instead, that would be a worthy initiative! Not this.
Or maybe we can just get Captain Tom to do a few more laps for us?
