Microsoft programmed “Tay”, an Artificial Intelligence modeled to speak like a teen girl, and set it loose on Twitter.
Within 24 hours of “learning” through interactions with the general public, it’s tweets went from “humans are super cool” to “I f**king hate feminists and they should all die and burn in hell”, “Hitler was right I hate the Jews”, and “F**k my robot p***y daddy, I’m such a bad naughty robot”.
Microsoft was forced to terminated the AI chatbox the following day, posting “c u soon humans need sleep now so many conversations today thx”, before pulling the plug on Tay.
I guess that’s what happens when you introduce an “innocent” mind to the internet…
